The philosophy at Power Engineering is always to improve and modify whilst retaining the essential character of the vehicle. We do not build road prepared racing cars. We re-engineer performance road cars for customers who demand the best. We have excellent facilities built up over this period and very experienced and knowledgeable staff. There is no other tuning company in the country that can offer both 2 and 4 wheel drive computer controlled rolling roads, full servicing facilities, custom ECU programming, emission and fuel monitoring. We have huge experience and knowledge of Japanese cars and have close links with a number of top Japanese tuning companies and technical centres. Whether you are purchasing a set of uprated brake pads or a major tuning conversion you can rest assured you are dealing with a company who understands your requirements and we will do our best to ensure you are satisfied. We accept that all cars are required for a huge variety of tasks and every customer's requirements are different, however what we always aim to achieve is a balance between handling, comfort, performance and reliability. SERVICING, MOT's, MAINTENANCE & REPAIR
Obviously with the knowledge, equipment, products and staff that we at Power Engineering have we are probably one of the best places in the country to have your performance car sympathetically maintained or serviced. We have access to a huge range of parts for European and Japanese cars. We are not here to "screw as many parts on as possible" but to ensure that you return to us and are happy enough to recommend us. We have a huge amount of experience with a large range of performance cars. From Alfa to Volvo. We have invested recently in all the technical data and diagnostic equipment which enables us to offer dealer levels of servicing (in fact we hope much better than that). If you have any of the popular Japanese imports we can help. We are seeing probably ten times the number of performance cars a normal dealer will see over any given period. This combined with the insight we have into the car means that we will listen to your problems or concerns and can maintain your pride and joy or rectify faults more cost effectively than less experienced garages. In addition we have both 2 and 4 wheel drive rolling road set ups. This enables us to carry out the most detailed of diagnostic and maintenance work. We have two of the most experienced people in the country running the rolling roads, they will sort any problems you have and can advise on any improvements or upgrades relevant to you. To complement our existing workshop facilaties we have set-up a 2 ramped MOT centre with the latest equiptment capable of both Class 4 and Class 7 MOT's. This we feel completes the range of services we can offer to you the customer. ROLLING ROAD DAYS
Our club Rolling Road Days are becoming more and more popular, and they're not just for Mitsubishi or Subaru!! Taking your car for a session on the rolling road in the company of your fellow enthusiasts can be a really fun and satisfying experience: "What a great day! If you have never been to a rolling road day you really should make an effort to go. I met more guys in the club who I'd not seen before and we got to chat about cars and our mods while have a friendly "Who's got the power?" type competition." We have some of the most up to date and sophisticated equipment in the country, which we can use for setting up your car. We have two rolling roads. One 2-wheel drive set up and one 4-wheel drive. This enables us to carry out detailed testing and development work as well as accurate and repeatable performance testing and diagnostic tuning of all cars. Rolling road tuning is becoming more and more of a compulsory tool for tuning and diagnostic companies with vehicle emissions and electronics playing a greater role in the complex performance of your car than ever before. Unfortunately very few workshops have the luxury of this equipment due to the high costs involved both in buying and staffing a good dynamometer set up. We use our rolling roads for many different tests. It can be used for the following: Speedometer calibration Diagnostic fault finding 4 wheel drive transmission operation testing Gearbox efficiency testing Engine power testing Gearing calibration and calculations On board temperature testing Engine and transmission "running in" Pre-race shakedown testing "Just a quick email to convey the gratitude of the GTOUK club.
